The Queensland revenue for the last quarter amounted to £697,000, being an increase of £22,500 as compared with the June quarter of last year. Sydney, July 3. Sailed, yesterday afternoon, the Hauroto, for Wellington. Arrived, last evening, the steamship Australia, from Auckland. (Received June 3,12.50 p.m.) Melbourne, July 3. Arrived, this morning, from the Bluff, the steamship Manapouri. Mirams, in the Legislative Assembly, has decided to move an amendment to the resolutions of the Sydney Convention, with the object of restraining the proposed Federal Council from legislation on the colonial tariff question. The debate on the resolutions stands further adjourned. All the Australian Governments except New Zealand have replied favourably to the proposal to guarantee £15,000 for the expense attaching to the extension of British rule in the Pacific. The reply of the New South Wales Government, though favourable, was not quite definite. In the Legislative Assembly last night, a bill providing for amalgamation of legal professions, was agreed to on a division by 60 to 6.
