Friday, May 30. [Before J. Giles, Esq., Warden.] APPLICATIONS.
George Watson and party applied to construct a tunnel tail-race at their extended claim, Ross Ten’ace. The application was objected to by Giddens and party, by Robert Hunter, as the tunnel would go through their claim; but would permit same provided an agreement that applicants do not hold them responsible for any damage they (objectors) may do them in the ordinary working of their claim, and that applicants be responsible for any damage they may do to them.—Granted, on condition asked for by objectors, and on giving up as abandoned certificate of tail-race 36031. Michael Borlase and party applied for a double-area claim at Larrikins,
bounded by Mansheld and party’s, Morris and party’s, and Watson and party’s claims.—Granted.
The application of J, Gow, Manager Kamara water-race, for a bye-wash at Larrikins, to head of right-hand branch of Dawson’s Creek, was withdrawn.
John S. Nicholas applied, by his agent Mr Seddon, fcr a half-acre residence area on the south side of Mignonette Flat road.—Granted.
