PUBLIC WORKS IN' THE GREY COUNTY.
A meeting of the Grey County Tender and Contract Committee was held at the Council Chambers yesterday, at 1.25 p.m, j present Crs. Guinness (Chairman), Taylor, Clifford, and Warren. The following tenders for works in the adjoining district were opened and dealt with : Extension of Track to New Settlement, Teremakau.
As the foregoing tenders were in excess of the estimate of the Road Overseer, it was resolved to call for fresh tenders, to be dealt with at the next meeting of the Council. Track from Westbrook to Payne’s Gully.
