(Received April 13, 10.20 a.m.) Sydney, April 12. Arrived, yesterday, the steamship Australia, from Auckland, The sculling race to-day between Beach and Trickett resulted in a victory for Beach by two lengths. (Received April 14, 0.25 a.in.) April 13. Tawhiao and party were passengers by the Orient steamship Sorata, which sailed yesterday for England. Melbourne, April 13, The P. and O. steamship Rome, with the inward English mails is expected here early to-morrow morning. A steamer with the health officer will meet her at the Heads, with the object of ascertaining if it is necessary to quarantine the ship and passengers in consequence of the case of small-pox which occurred on board after leaving London.
