Autumn Meeting to-day, the race for the Australian Cup, 2£ miles, resulted as follows : Australian Cup, a handicap sweepstakes of 20 sovs. each, 10 ft., or 5 so vs. only if declared to the secretary of the V.R.C., A.J.C., or S.A.J.C, before 4 p.m. on Monday, 4th February, with 500 added. For three year olds and upwards. Morpeth ~ 1 Sweet William 2 ' Le Grand ... ... 3 Seventeen horses started, and after a grand race Morpeth won easily by two lengths. Time, 4mins. Doncaster got away at the start and made the running, with Morpeth sixth, and Off Color at the rear until the finish, when Morpeth went to the front and took the lead without difficulty. The cricket match between the Australian Eleven and fifteen of Victoria will be commenced here to-morrow. Arrived, this morning, the Union steamship Manapouri, from the Bluff.
