Patea, February 28. John Black, late treasurer to the Patea Council, has been committed for trial for embezzlement of County funds. Other charges against him will be heard to-morrow, and in the meantime he is out on bail. An information was served on George Beamish, late Cauuty dog tax collector, to-day, for embezzlement of County funds. The hearing is fixed for Friday.
