WARDEN’S COURT.
Wednesday, October 19. [Before H. A. Stratford, Esq., Warden ] APPLICATIONS. Curtis and Cook applied by their agent, Mr Hannan, for the registration of a tunnel.—The application was adjourned for a week. Thomson and party applied for a month’s protection of their double area at the Shallow Lead. Mr Barff appeared for the applicants.—The application was refused as waler was proved to be available. J. Kirkman applied by his ageut, Mr Barff, fur a residence area at Dill man’s Town. Mr Hannan appeared for an objector (Mr Thomas). Evidence was taken, and it Was shown that the trenching was not in accordance with the mining regulations.—The application was refused.
The application of Solomon Pascoe for a residence aiea was granted, subject to the usual conditions.
The application of Preston and party by their agent, Mi Bartf, for a double area at Deep Creek was granted. Romas and party applied for a special site, which was granted conditionally. Harris and party applied for protection for their claim.—Granted for one month.
The application of White and party for a special site was granted conditionally.
T. Couuington applied for the registration of a tunnel.—The application was granted, The application of F. Fields fo'f a residence area in Tui street was granted, subject to the usual conditions and scale of fees. Smart and party applied for a double area.—Granted. An application of D. Hannan, in respect of a residence area, was adjourned for the purpose of having new notices posted. SUIT. Michael O’Grady v. Keogh and otheia. Mr Hannan appeared for the plaintiff, and Mr Seddon for the defendants. This was a suit for dissolution of a mining partnership. A large amount of evidence was taken, and the plaintiff was nonsuited. The Court was adjourned till to-day (Thursday).
