[new ZEALAND PRESS ASSOCIATION.] Christchurch, June 6. Mr Josiah Birch, formerly of Kaiapoi, and lately a merchant of Christchurch, was found dead in his bed at half-past two o’clock to-day. His wife was away from home, and, on returning, found her husband dead. He was seen on Sunday evening, and had interviewed a doctor on Saturday complaining of his head.
