RESIDENT MAGISTRATE'S COURT.

Tuesday, May 3,

[Before H. A. Stratford, Esq., R,M.} Margaret Mulholland was charged with having used abusive and insulting language towards Mrs O'Loughlin. The evidence of the three witnesses was taken, from which it might he gathered that very strong and uncalledfor expressions had been made use of towards the complainant.

The defendant asked for a remand to allow the production of a witness, who, she asserted, could disprove the evidence which had been given. The adjournment was granted, on one half day's wages for the witnesses being deposited in the Court. Two unimportant civil cases were disposed of, and the Court adjourned.
