' Wellington, May 1. The body of a man named William Kirwin was picked up in the harbor last night. Ite was a recent arrival by the ship Pareora, and it is believed he intended to settle at Greymouth. Invercargill, April 30. A little girl aged one and a half years, daughter of Reid, a rabbiter, was run over by the tram at Dipton, this evening and killed. When performing at the Theatre Royal this evening " JZela," a gymnast formerly with Chiarini's circus, fell from a ring trapeze a distance of fifteen feet, landing on tho seats in the pit. She was severely shaken, but was able to appear on the stage, after which she was taken to her lodgings. She was out of practice, and had been ad vised not to appear.
