London, March 12. The Conservatives oppose Gladstone's urgency resolution in Committee of Supply. Fewer arrests are now being made in Ireland of minor offenders. Bradlaugh offers to resign his seat and seek re-election. In the Divorce Court, Farrell V. Powell, in which petitioner sought to obtain a divorce from his wife on the ground of adultery, the Court condemned the co-respondent, Captain Powell, of the Orient steamer nia, to pay £SOO damages. Messrs Lurd, Williamson, and Co., East and West India and Cape merchants, Fenchurch street, have failed for £IO,OOO. Lord Granville, Foreign Secretary, has denied in the House of Lords that Great Britain is seeking to prolong the armistice with the Boers in the Trausvaal.
