that if this idea be extended, and some of the chiefs desire to shuffle oil' their responsibility on others, difficulties may arise. The Zulus generally, it is said, are dissatisfied with the arrangements made for the future government of their country, and have expressed a preference for white men as rulers. John Dunn has announced that traders entering his territory must pay a license of a: 25. Bagot and Beavan have left Capetown with two well-stocked waggons, on a journey through Africa. Their destination is Suez. It is estimated that the trip will occupy about four years.
