Oamaru, May 2. The Governor, and Lady Robinson, and suit arrived by special train from Lyttelton about one o'clock this afternoon. After an address from members '•f the Council and Harbor Board, the party proceeded to inspect the barber works, and then to the Star and Garter Hotel, where. I unction was pro-, vided. The party went on to Timaru this afternoon.
Timaku, May 3. The Governor and suite at rived yesterday evening, and were received enthusiastically. The Governor said he had been greatly impressed not only with tliß magnificent scenery of New Zealand, hut also by the boundless re? sources of the colony, and tile rapid advances made in the manufacturing industrial pursuits. An address was presented by the Mayor. At a ball in his honour at night 150 were present. Mr Convert takes charge of the special train which brings the Governor to < hristchurch, to-day.
