Cornfoot here left the room.

The consideration of the letter from the Secretary of the Ladies’ Benovelent Society was postponed until the next meeting.

The report of the Public Works Committee was read and adopted, with the exception of clause 5, which was referred back to the Committee. Tenders for the construction of Main and Seddon streets were ordered to be called for, in accordance with the plana and specifications laid on the table. The Finance Committee’s Pieport was then considered and, as amended, adopted. Accounts to the amount of £IGS IDs fed were pissed lor payment.
