London, June 18. y The Australian cricketers were beaten in one innings by the Gentlemen players of England, who made a total score of 139. The Australians in their second innings made only 63 ; the total score of both innings was 138. Melbourne, Juue 19. Mr Pearce, the survivor of the Loch Ard, was presented to-day by the Governor on behalf of the Government with a gold watch and chain, of the value of 50 guineaa.
