Thursday, \\lay 30. [Before M. Price, 1 Esq., R.M.] Drunkenness. —/Bridget Johnson was fined 10ri, in default 24 hours' imprisonment. Breach of Municipal Bye-law.— Richard B. Joues, who did not appear, was charged on summons with having, on 25th inst., hawked meat without having a licence. The case having been proved, defendant was fined 10s, and costs. Assault.—John Phelan was charged by his wife, Ellen Phelan, with having assaulted her by kicking her. She asked that he might be bound over to keep the peace towai dd her. There was no evidence to sustain the charge beyorid that of the complainant, his Worship declining to tak« the evidence of a giil, their child. The husband .stated that his wife suffered from delusion*. After cautioning the defendant as to his conduct in future, his Worship dismissed the case. CIVIL CASES. Cull.-n and Co. v. Luke.—Claim fo.r .£6 19s, goods sold and delivered. Judgment for plaintiff. Olsen v. ' sold &c. (Judgment summons). Ordered to pay 5s pur week. Cuming and Co. v. M'Kenna—.£3 4s. goods sold &c.
