BOARD OF HEALTH.

The same gentlemen sat as a Board of Health. After the minutes of the last meeting had been read and confirmed, the report of the ■ inspector of nuisances was read. He reported that he had given notice to owners of pigs and occnpiers of slaughteryards. In every instance the notices had been disregarded. -The report concluded with the names of those upon whom notices had been served. Mr Saudle moved, that the inspector be empowered to take proceedings against the persons named in the report, and that.the Board supply the necessary f nnds. Mr Griffith seconded the motion. Mr Seddon moved, as .an amendment,, that a legal opinion be taken as to the “ locus standi” of the Board, as Eumara was now a Municipality. The motion was carried.
