Late Rev. C. B. Davidson.
At the BPrvioe on Sunday night last the Etev. F. W. Oterke. 8.A., made ha following reference to the late Rey, 0. E. Davidson . “ Before I commence my sermon to night I desire to pay a tribute of re--ppcfc to the memory of a much eg>emed friend, the Rhv. Charles Ed ard Dtvid-nn. I ml«» bis heaary *.d>b kj; I mi-a hw warkn expires f b.*>thei ly fe ling <o cbaraoteria to f rhe man. 11-,- w’s a pastor who mitered wi-h all his he-m and soul into the Master’d work, and never spired nimself as he followed the path of duty ‘ o’er moor and fen, o’er crag and torrent * to minister the consolations of religion to the many scattered homes throughout this large district. He led a truly sincere, pernest and consistent Christian life, and never ceased from his labours until worn out in body he was compelled to take a well-earned rest, from which be was so soon called to the higher ‘ rest that remiineth for the people of God.’ He is now on. the other side of the barrier, ‘ absent irom the body but present with the Lord.’ He has joined that throng who look biok upon the things of this life and see them in their true perspective , and know that what alone is of eternal value is the chastened soul whom Christ has made * meet for the inheritance of the saints in light.’ One can truly say in regard to our departed brother, ‘ me die the death of the r ghleous, and lit my list end be like
