[By Telegraph.] SPECIAL TO THE SETTLER. Tongaporctu, Wednesday. Mr Jennings, M.P., will reach Waiters on Friday after a month’s tour of the electorate. He has beta very favourably received in all parts of the electorate.
[By Telegraph.] SPECIAL TO THE SETTLER. Otorohanga, Monday. Mr Bowater has recently visited Obakune, Taamarunui, Te Kuiti and Otorobanga, bolding meetings at each place, receiving votes of thanks and confidence. After bearing him speak many people b*»ve promised to support Mr Bowater, who would make an excellent member.
Mr Bowater, the Opposition candidate, arrived in Kawhia late on Tuesday night, and at 9 a.m. the following morning addressed a very wmall number of electors in Scott’s Hall, Mr A. E. Langley presiding. Mr Bowater spoke for about half an-hqur and made a favourable on those present, receiving a vote of thanks at tbe conctafrion.
