Mvy 7th. at Ohaupo we hid a small muster of cattle, but prices were mu:h improved, everything selling readily at the hammer. 15 to 18-months-old ■.cero realised trom £1 19a 6d to £2 12s; mixed yearlings,£l 10s to £2; good calves, Ifu to £1 6a; fre h conditioned oows and heifers. £1 17a 6d to L2 10s; springing hoif », £1 5s to £1 15s. On Friday Maj- 10th. at Ngarawahia we held a sale of sheep and cattie, A large attendance of buyers were present from Auckland, Te Kuiti, Morrinsviile, and Waikato districts, and we report a successful sale. The 2000 sheep advertised elicited a keen competition and all sold at the h unmer. Fair forward wethers realised 18s 7d to £1 Is 3d ; store wethers, 16a 3d to 17s 6i ; woolly lambs, 12s 3d to 12a 9d; shorn lambs, 10s la; cull lambs, 7s 9d to 9a 7d; fullmouth ewes and lambs; 15s 3d to 16s 6d; small fat steers, £6 12s; fat heifers, £4 15s to £o 10s; strong calves, 19s 6d to £1 2s; springing hsifeia, £4 5s to £5 Is ; 1 choice cow, near profit; £7.
