A MILD BEQUEST.
(to the editor.) Sir, —I hope yea do not think that I am a fault aud trust that my modest request will be given effect to by those who are guilty of thoughtlessness. There is a lot of liquid matter finds its way into Kawhia, and inva-i--ably it is in bottles. I do not objeet to this, but what I do take exception to is that when the contents of the bot ties have been used (perhaps drank) the empty bottles are thrown ou the beach or road and get broken, thus becoming a danger. Aly horse’s foot was severely cut the other d iy. Please, throw the “ dead marines” well out into the tide, so that they cannot cut the feet of our horses, nor the sight of them cause us to think we would like a WHISKY.
