County Notices. SPECIAL ORDER MAKING SPECIAL RATE. PUBLIC NOTICE is hereby given tbat the following Special Order making a Special Rate to meet the interest and other charges on a Loan of Five Thousand Pounds was duly passed at a Special Meeting of the Counc'l on the 21st January, 1907, viz. : That in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by “ The Local Bodies Loans Ac’, 1901,” the Kawbia County Coun cil hereby resolves as follows: Tbat for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a Loan of Five Thousand Pounds (£5000) (this is a portion of a Loan of £12,000 for 2 successive years expenditure) authorised to be raised by the Kawbia County Council undec the ate ve named Act, for the purpose of providing for the Widening and Metalling of the Ma-hoenui-Kawhia Road, the said Loun to be for a period of 41 years, and that the interest to be paid is at the rate of 4 per centum per annum, the said Kawbia County Council hereby makes and levies a Special Rate of Bgd in the £ upon the rateable value of all rateable property in the Maboenui-Kawhia Special Rating District, comprising : All those sections abutting the said Mahoenui Kawbia road from Lemon Point to where the Maboenui-Kawhia road crosses the Marokopa River ; and a rate of 1 13 16d in the £ on sections 21, 22, 28, block I, section la, block 111, sections la, 2, 11, 12, block V, sections 8,4, blcck VI, section 2,8, block IX, and section 8, block X, and that such Special Rate shall be an annual recurring rate during the currency of such Loan, and shall be payable on the Ist day of July in each and every year during the currency of such Loan, being a period of 41 years, or until such Loan is fully paid off. DOG TAX FOR 1907. NOTICE is hereby give it that MR. THOMAS ASHBOLT has boon appointed Registrar of Dogs and Collector of tho Tax for tho Kawbia County Council. Owners uf dogs are reminded that tho Act required them to register their dogs annually, and tbat collars must be obtained from the Collector, and any person keeping an unregistered dog is liable to prosecution. Registration Fees—2s 6d and 5s respectively for working and sporting or pet dogs. J. K, NEWTON, County Clark.
