PUBLIC NOTICE is hereby given that the following Special Order, making a Special Rate to meet the interest and charges on a Loan of One Thousand Five Hundred Pounds, was duly passed at a special meeting of the Council on the 21st January, 1907, viz.: That in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf'by “The Local Bodies Loan? Act, 2901.” the Kawbia County Council hereby ro?olves as follows : That for the purpose of providing the in terest and other charges on a Loan of One Thousand Five Hundred Pounds (£1500) (this is a portion of a Loan of £12,000 for two successive years ex penditure) authorised to be raised by the Kawhia County Council, under the above named Act, for the purpose of providing for the W idening and Metal lirg of the Okupata road, the said Loan to be for a period of 41 years, and that the interest to be paid is at the rate of 4 per centum per annum, the said Kawbia County Council here by makes and levies a Special Rate of 111 16d in the £ upon the rateable value of all rateable property in the Okupata Special Rating District, comprising : Sections 5,6, 6a, 7, 11, 12, 18, bl ck V, Pirongia West; sections, 4,6, 7, block VIII, Kawbia North ; section 2c, No. Bb, and all native land abutting on said road; and half rates on sections 2 and 3, blcck VIII, Ka wbia X rtb, and sections 8 and 9, block 5, Pirongia West; and that such Special Rate shall be an annual recurring rate during the currency of such Loan, and shall bo payable on the Ist day of July in each and every year during the currency of such Loan, being a period of 41 years, or until such Loan is fully paid off.
