PUBLIC NOTICE is hereby given i,Uui. thb following Special Order making a Special Rato to meet the interest and other charges on a Loan of Five Thousand Pounds was duly passed at a Special Meeting of the Counc'l on the 21st January, 1907, viz. : That in pursuance and exercise of the powers ve.-ted in it in that be half by “The Local Bodies I>arif» Act, 1901,” the Kawbia County Council hereby resolves as follows : That for the purpose of providing the inter est and oilier charges on a Loan of Five Thousand Pounds (£5000) (this is a portion of a Loan of £12,000 for 2 successive years expenditure) authorised io be raised by the Kawbia County Council under the ab< ve named Act, for the purp se of providing for the Widening aud Metalling of the Ma-hoenui-Kawhia R ad, the said Loan to be for a period of 41 years, and that the interest to be paid is at the rate of 4 per centum per annum, the said Kawbia County Council hereby makes and levies a Special Rate of 8-fd in the £ upon the rateable value of all rateable property in tha Mahoenui Kawhia Special Rating District, comprising : All those sections abutting the said Mahoenui Kawbia road from Lemon Point to where the Muhoenui-Kawbia road crosses the Marokopa. Matungoio ; rec. res. ; pt. of Pl. 11, block IX ; Kawhia M, block IX; P2, block X ; lots 1,2, 8 4,5, 6, 7 and 8, PB, block X, all Kbwhia North ; sections 1 to 11, block I; 1 to 12, block II ; 1 to 4, block HI; 1 to 10, bkek IV ; Ito 8, block V; Ito 12, block VI; Ito 6, block VII; Ito 11, block VIII; Ito 5, block IX ; and 1, block X, Kawhia Town ; sections 1 to 19, block I; Ito 28, block II; and 1 to 8, block 111, Te Puru Township ; 1 to 67 and 1 to 89, Karewa Town ship, and on all Native Lands in Kawhia Riding ; and that such Special Bate shall be an annual recurring rate during tbe currency of such Loan, and shall be payable on tbe Ist day of July in each and every year during the currency of such Loan, being a period of 41 years, or until such Loan is fully paid off.
