County Notice Mi KAWHIA COUNTY COUNCIL. SPECIAL ORDER MAKING SPECIAL RATE. PUBLIC NOTICE is hereby given that the following Special Order, making a Special Rate to meet tbe in terest and other charges on a Loan of One Thousand Pounds was duly passed at a 8; ec al Meeting of the Council on the 21st January, 1907, viz. : That in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by Tbe Loans to Bocal Bodies Act, 1901,” the Kawbia County Council hereby resolves as follows: That for the purpose of providing tha interest and other charges on a L >an of One Thousand Pounds (£1000) (this is portion of a Lan of £12,000 f r two consecutive years expenditure) authorised to be raised by tbe Kawhia County Couicil, under the above named Act, for the purpose of providing Ifor the Widening and Metalling of the Waitetuna Aotea Road, tbe said Loan to be for a period of 41 years, and that the interest to be paid is at tbe rate of 4 per centum per annum, the said Kawhia County Council hereby makes and levies a Special Rate of 2}d in the £ upon tbe rateable value of all rateable property in the Waiteluna-Aotea Special Rating District, comprising Sections 1,2, 8,4, 5, 6 and 7, b’oek X, sections 1,2 and 4, block XI, Waitetuna-Aotea; and that such Special Bate shall be an annual recurring rate during the currency of such Loan, and shall be payable on tbe Ist day of July in each and every year during the currency of such Loan, being a period of 41 years, or until such Loan is fully paid off. OUBLIC NOTICE is hereby given *- that the following Special Order making a Special Rate to meet tbe in-v-re>t and other charges on a Loan of Ono Thousand Sevin Hundred and Fifty Pounds was duly passed at a Special Meeting of the Council on tbe 21st January, 1907, viz. : That in pursuance and exercise of tbe powers vested in it in that behalf by “ The Local Bodies Loans Act, 1901,” tbe Kawbia County Council hereby resolves as follows : Tba.t for tbe purpose of providing tbe interest and other charges on a Loan of One Thousand Seven Hundred and Fifty Pounds (£1750) (this is portion of a Loan of £12,000 for two successive years expenditure) authorised to be raised by the Kawhia County Council, under tbe above named Act, for the purpose of providing for the Widening and Metalling of the Pirongia West Road, tbe said Loan to be for a period of 41 years, and that the interest to be paid is at tbe rate of 4 per centum per annum, the SSid Kawbia County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of 1 11 16'1 in the £ upon the rateable value of all rateable property in tbe Pirongia West Special Rating District, comprising :—Sections 1,2 and 3, block I, Pirongia West; sections 1 and 2, block IV, Kawbia Noirth ; section 1, block VIII; sections 1,2, 8,4, Pirongia West ; and half rates on sections 2 and 8, block VIII ; and that such Special Rate shall be an annual recurring rate during the currency of such Loan, and shall be payable on the Ist day of July in each and every year during the currency of such Loan, being a period of 41 years, or until such time as tbe Loan is fully paid off.

THOMAS ASHBOLT has been appointed Registrar of Dogs and Collector of the Tax for the Kawbia County Council. Owneirs of dogs are reminded that tbe Act requires them to register their dogs annually, and that collars must be obtained from the Collector, and any person keeping an unregistered dog is liable to prosecution.
