PUBLIC NOTICE is hereby given that tbe following Special Order, making a Special Rate to meet the interest and other charges on a L an of Two Thousand Five Hundred P mods was duly passed at a Special Meeting of the Council on the list January, 1907, via.: Th&t in pareaance and ex ercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by “ Tbe Local Bodies Loans Act, 1901,” the Kawhia County Council hereby resolves as follows: That for tbe purpose of providing tha interest and other charges on a Loan ot Two Thousand Five Hundred Pounds (£2500) (this is a portion of a Loan ot £12,000 for two successive years expenditure) authorised to be raised by the Kawhia County Council, under tbe above named Act, for the parpose ot providing for Widening and Metalling the road from G ay’s landing up as far as Te Toi road, tbe eaid Loan to be for a period of 11 years, and that the interest to be paid is at tbe rate of 4 per centum per annum, the said Kawhia County Council hereby makes and levies a Special Rite of 2 l-10d in the £ upon the rateable value of all rateable property in the Awaroa-Maboe Special Rating Dis* trict, comprising :—AU those sections abutting on to tbe Awaroa-Maboe road, from Gray’s landing up to section sb, block VID, and section 8, block VTII (inclusive), and section 8, block XI, section 8, block VII. section 4a, block VIII, section 1. block IV, section 6, block XIII, 601 acres of Crown land in block XVI, atnoicing sec ion 6, block XIII, aud Hauturu West block No. Ia ; and that such Special Rate shall be an annual recurring rate during the currency of such Loan, and shall be payable on the Ist day of Joly in each and every year during the currency of such Loan, being a period of 41 years, or until such Loan is fully paid off.
