THE LAUNCH WHARF.

(to the editor.) Bib, —I noticed a letter in a recant issue on the above topic. Now we all use tbe launches and must all know the present inconveniences, which will have to be overcome. As “ Pro Bono Publico ” says, the erection would not cost much. Then why is the work not gone on with ? At least, why does not the intelligence of those who have the doing of our harbour work absorb this fact ? I know that it takes a long time to get a new idea into some people’s heads. We do not live in an up-to-date part of the colony, so must, as a matter of course, oome to recognise “ Taihoa,” the motto of indolence, as our motto. But that is no reason why those who can satisfy this long felt want should be allowed to dose over their beloved “ Taihoa.” Wake up I be men, attend to your work and get it done.—Yours, eto., KANUI TE KORERO, KAHORE HE MAHI.
