(Special to thi settler ) Wellington, 28rd, 4.5 p.m. Parliament has settled down to work very speedily and with the evident determination to push business, Tbe impression still is (hat the session will last till about the end of October. An indication of some of the questions the Government proposes to deal with this session is given in the notice for the introduction of the following Bills:—By the Premier: Products Exports Aot Amendment, Touriat and Health Resorts Control, Friendly Societies, Registration of Births Extension. By the Native Minister : Maori Laud Claims Adjustment and Laws Amendment, Maori Land Settlement Amendment, Fire Brigades, Native Townships Amendment. By the Minister of Mines and Justice ; Gaming and Lotteries Amendment, Adoption of Children Amendment. Coal Mines Amendment, Habitual Criminals and Offenders, Juvenile Offenders Juries Amendment.
The Address in Reply debate was begun in the House yesterday with excellent speeches by Messrs Seddon and P oo'e. lu all probability the debate will finish to-morrow night, in which case the Budget will be presented on Tuesday. The Minister of Marine has informed Mr Greenslade, M H R , that be has decided to yest tbe Kawhia Harbour in the Kawhia County Council for the present.
