Kinohaku.
(from our own oorre-fondest.) Everything looks just lovely over here. Even tbe roais are whai I might call magnificent for either riding or sledging, or any other form of exercise, aven to the manly art of -■ —. No, I won’t siy anyJhing further in that direction, but will refer to the allabsorbing topic of the sports and carnival. A good contiogent wended their way to Lemon Point on Saturday to clear and prepare the ground for the different events. A meeting was held in the afternoon at Mrs Carr's to arrange further details. Everyone here are very enthusiastic in the causa of sport, but I would like to see those outside Kinohaku take an interest in it also, as unity is strength in sporting matters as in everything elss. At all events it is the general opinion that Kinohaku ir bound to distinguish itself in this respect. When it is realised that there will be over £5O given away in prizes, a large number of competitors ought to be attracted. Each and all of ou r amateur champion axemen will have a good ch&ncs of proving their ability on that eventful day. There are chips everywhere you go, either camp or boa-ding house.
