The Coming Elections.
MEE TING OF MR LANG’S SUPPORTERS AT KAWHIA.
On Monday evening last a meeting of tbe supporters of Mr Lang was held at tbe Settjceb office, when the attendance number about 20, settlers from Kinohaku, Marokopa, Kiritehere, 'fe Mata, Oparau and Awaroa being present, Mr J. G. Howes presiding. A fund was started to defray the expenses, and all present in the room contributed 2s 6d. It was decided to ask that a polling booth be established at Marokopa, as the nearest booth at present (Kinohaku) was too far away. The secretary was instructed to secure launches for use on election day. It was decided that Mr Lang be communicated with, asking when he could be expected to visit the Kawhia district, After the secretary had repo ted that matters were proceeding satisfactorily, a very enthusiastic meeting terminated.
