WAITETI ROAD ACCIDENT.

HORSE SHIES OVER BANK. An accident attended with rather serious results occurred on'the Waiteti road on Tuesday evening last, when a trap driven by Mrs Weir waa capsized over the bank of the road. Besides the driver, Miss Gillandera and Miss Ormbsy. were in the trap, and Miss Gillanders sustained somawhat severe injuries in the shapa of deep cuts on ihe arm and leg, while all the occupants were badly bruised and shaken. The accident ocLurred through the horse taking fright at a pig which was running along the road in front of a motor car, in which were Mrs and Miss Adams and Mrs Rowell. Assistance waa promptly rendered by the occupants of the car, and Mißs Gillandera waa taken in the car to Dr Zobel's. After the wounds Were attended to the patient was removed to Wharenana private hospital, where she is progressing as well as can be expected.
