THE RUAHINE MURDER.

ROTTERMAN ON TRIAL. Wanganui, Thursday. A great deal of interest was displayed in the Supreme Court this morning when Arthur Rotterman was charged with murdering at Ruahine on December 28tn, Joseph McCann, Lucy Mary McCann, and their infant son, John Joseph McCann. Accused pleaded not guitly, and was defended by Mr C. E. Mackay. Accused, who is apparently between 21 and 25 years old. is tall, well set, and intelligent looking. The nrosecution was conducted by the Crown Prosecutor, Mr Marshall. The evidence was very similar to that given at the inquest and in the Poilce Court. Particulars were given of the discovery of the murder, and of the manner of Rotterman's departure from the district.
