TE KUITI WATER SUPPLY.
THE DAM CAPACITY In referring to the dam for the water supply of the Borough on Monday evening, Cr M. J. Jones said the dam did not overflow in dry weather, and the leakage was considerable. The Council would have to take into consideration the question of increasing the storage capacity or the getting of a further supply. The present supply, under existing conditions would j suffice for a few years, but more would have to be obtained before long. There was a stream some distance below the site of the dam, and this could be diverted and used. The foreman stated there was a lot of water running to waste, and other councillors expresed the opinion that there was ample water for all present requirements.
