The following is the report of Dr Mclllraith, Inspector of Schools, who examined the Te Kuiti District High School during the latter part of last year:—Throughout the school, work is being enthusiastically and successfully carried out. Every department is full of life; arid the school hss attained a high level that promises excellent future results. The drawing, alike in pencil, crayon or brush has few rivals; agriculture is moat thoroughly taught; singing is enthusiastically taken up. All Work is displayed with a neatness that speaks of the earnestness of both pupiis and Btaff. A very fine tone prevails throughout the school. The grounds and class rooms are very neat and attractive. In spite of the recent enlargement and because of the establishment of a secondary department, the school is again over crowded in the preparatory departments. The number on the roll is 400, and the number presented for examination 380.
