NOT THE FINAL WAR.
NOR A LONG REIGN OP PEACE,
London, Sunday
The Times, in a leader, says—"lt is unlikely that this war will be the last war. It is not even likely that a lone reign of peace will follow, wherein human can make a permanent advance. , Unless there is a definite constructive effort to secure this there is a danger of using optimism as a crutch instead of a spur and letting slip the opportunities by which alone our hopes and ideals can be realised. Let ua take the trouble to discover what elements in German kultur are sound and are needed as contributions to our common European life."
