CAUGHT BY STEEL CAELE. Pari?, Monday. A sailor on a French submarine rclate.B that she entered an enemy port on a recent Sunday, and 'was about to torpedo the battleships when her rudder CBUght in some steel cables. The submarine was drawn up nearly to the surface.

"Torpedoes and shells rained upon us, and it was a miracle w«a were not struck. Suddenly the cable yielded. We dived 16 metresjand escaped after being submerged for 12 hours," said the sailor.
