DISCONTENT IN TURKEY.
MISTAKE IN JOINING GERMANY London Monday. Reports of the fighting; in tr:e Near East show that tha Turkish S3ldi~rt, as usual, are showing the greatest courage and endurance, but their officers are hopelessly incompetent, while .their arms and equipment are poor.
Eeuter'3 Sofia correspondent reports that messages from Constantinople confirm the stories of increasing discontent, due to the serious damage to the Goeben, and the failures in the Caucasus and Egypt. All sensible Turks are realising that a colußsal mistake was made in joining Qormpny The Germans are uneasy, and fear that a Nationalist coup will destroy the German plans.
