CAPIUfIED NEAR ROTORUA*.
Hamilton, This Day,
The prisoner, Huckatr, who jumped from the train at Te Kuili 0:1 October 30th while being convpyed from New Plymouth to Hamilton, where ho was to be charged with Bf-ries of false pro tenecs, was captured by the JRotorua police at Atiatnun, some miles from Rotorua yesterday. The police did excellent work in tracing the Jmari from Otoroharga right through the back country to Teupo, with which country Hackett ia thoroughly fami - iar. yesterday ho boarded the Taupi;-Tottu-a Timber Company's private train at Mokai, on tho Putaruru line, but, instead of going right through he jumped off at a bridge over tho Waikato river and mado towards Atiamuri. Here the Rotorua police, who were on the look out, picked up his trail and nrrested him. Hackett showed no signs of privations, and from reports received by the police, it is probable tho list of charges will ba coniderably incroased as a reßUlt of his daah for freedom.
