ALLIES FIGHTING FORWARD.
COUNTER ATTACKS REPULSED. GERMANS AT WATERLOO. Wellington, Monday. Th 9 High Commissioner reports from London on September 27th: — It is officially stated that the equation ia satisfactory. A counter-attack on the British front has been beaten back with heavy losses to the enemy. In an earlier report the High Commissioner stateß: —• A severe general action on the Allies'left between the Somme and the Oise is reported from Paris. .In the centre the Allies have advanced east of Rheims towards Merry and Moronvilliers. There has been cannonading in the region of Parohes. At Verdun the Allies still hold a Btrong position, and are advancing on Beauchmont. . The enemy's attacks in Lorraine ana the Vosges have been repulsed. It is reliably reported that 40,000 Germans are encamped at Waterloo. Heavy siege guns are being S9nt from France to Mons.
