FAT STOCK MARKET. The New Zealand Loan and Mer» cantila Agency reports:—At Wentfield ynrds on Wednosdiiy fat cattle came forward in record numbers, and last week's prices were fully maintained, the freezing buyer operating freely. Prima nxon sold to 37a 6d per 1001b, others 34b lo 365, cxjwb and heifers 30a to 35s per 1001b, steers sold at from .69 15b to £3 8 17a Gd, cows and heifers £5 to £l2 10a, 16 Bteers from Mr B. Reid, Waorenga, averaged .£ls !)s 3d, and one from Mr B. Reid realised £lB 17s 6d, and was bought by Messrs R. and W. HeJlaby, Limitec?; 35 steers from Mr' F. Macdonald, Pukeorero, Waiuku, averaged £IG, and £1 Bteera from Mr J. D. Kemp, Awhitu, averaged £l3 17;> (sd, and almost every consignment averaged over £l2 10s. Veal calvea came forward in average supply, and sold a shade easier. Heavy vealers sold at from £4 10a to £5 17s (id, medium weights £3 to £4 4s, lighter £2 to £3, othera 20s to 38b, smaller and freßh-droppod Sa to 18s. Sheep were yarded in less numbers than usual, and sold at improved prices. Best wethers sold at 29a to 31b 9d, others 24s 6d to 28s 6d, heavy ewes 24b to 25s 9d, others s?lh to 23« i)d, hoggetß 18s fid to 235, spring lambn 15b 3d to 24s fid. Pign cmno forward in average numbers and sold well, Baconers £3 tis to £3 12s (!,!, largo porkers £2 10a to £3, pnrkera :}, r >g to 48s, slips 20s to 30s, iveanorii 12s to 17s !)d.
