Petrograd states that Przemysl, an important centre on the River San, 60 miles west of Lemberg, and Cracow, the ancient capital of Poland, have surrendered to Russia. The Fetrograd correspondent of the Paris Matin reports that General von Auffenberg's army lo3t 800 officers, 28,000 men, and 400 guns. The Austrian Second Army, opsrating in the west of Lembere. lost as prisoners 500 officers and 30,000 men. The Russian victory ia considered decisive.
