AMUSEMENTS.
THE GREAT CHANDOS. To-night in the Town Hall (People's Picture Palace) the great entertainer. "Cbandos," will appear, supported by a clever combination company. Chandoa is a magician of high merit and Btanda amongst iha front rank of handcuff king?. The death-defying feat "Chandos aa a human target," is amongst the features of the programme. Hi* exposure of spiritualism and his mysterious and interesting exhibition of Indian mystery and the miser's dream, are items that should assist to make an attractive and enjoyable programme. EMPRESS THEATRE. "" The Btar drama, "Forest Dwellers." produced by the Cine. Co., and the supporting programme will be screened for the last time to-night. For Thursday and Friday, a Vitagraph star entitled "Life in a Circus," or "Threads of Destiny," will be screened. Another film that will be of great interest is the local Tonical "The Big Camp." showing the Territorials at Hautapu. This film is said to be a great record, locally done by authority, and which is a life-like reproduction of the life and doings of our soldier boys when training for the defence of Maoriland.
