ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING A SUCCESSFUL YEAR The annual meeting of shareholders of the Fio Pio Co-operative Dairy Company was held on Saturday. Mr P. O'Dwyer, chairman of directors, presided, and there was about fifty shareholders present. A very satisfactory report and bal-ance-sheet were read and adopted. The average price of lljd per lb was paid out to auppliers for butter fat during the season, and the output was increased considerably as compared with the previous season, the actual quantify manufactured being fifty-Buven tone, aeven hundredweight. The factory obtained two first prizes at the Waikato Winter Show, and also secured fourth place in the Weddel Shiold competition, which is an indication that the output of the company during the season was consistently high class.
Mr Dempster, Government Instructor, addressed the meeting on the question of grading, herd testing, and home separation, and was acccorded a vote of thanks by acclamation.
Four directors retired by rotation, and Messrs P. O'Dwyer.H. Houghton, W. E. Johnston, and J. Trust were elected to the positions. Mr L. C. Harton was again appointed auditor. It was decided that all cream should be graded at the factory, all sceondgpade cream to be paid Jd per lb leßa than first-grade, cream testing below 35 to be graded second-grade. It was decided to open the factory to receive Bupplies on August 24th.
