Taylor, 22s 3d—ss; same v. Whareana, £2 165—413; same v. Skipwith, 17s 6d —ss; Fickling v. Le Page, 39a 8d 7s; Ellison v. Whare Hotu, £2 14s 6d—2l 6d Thompson v. Pitcon, £2O 12s—£2 14a. Judgment Summonses. —Orders were made in the following cases: —Hacket v. Turner, £8 15s 6d; Robinson v. Lomas, £3 16s; Cole v. Turner, £6 8s 6d; Erikson v. Mabuki, £7 ss; Cole v. Kati Kao Kao, £3 17s 6d. AN UNUSUAL CHARGE. James Kirkwood was chtrged with a breach of the Police Offences Act by using the letters A.M.I.E.E. after his name, not being entitled to do so. Sergeant Rowell, for the prosecution, said the proceedings had been taken at the instigation of the Instituta of Electrical Engineers. It bad been ascertained by the seuretary of the New Zealand branch of the Institute that defendant never bad been a member of ihe Institutp, and defendant had oeen written to concerning the matter. Defendant had stated that he hsd made use of the letters under the impression he wa3 entitled to do so, but he bad subsequently written stating be was in th-a wrong. Mr Sharpies, who appeared for defendant, pleaded guilty. He explained that defendant had been tailed away to attend to urgent business arid could not attend. He was instructed that defendant became an Associate of the Institute in Australia, and thought he was entitled to visa the letters, except fur the fact that he was not a financial member of the Institute. Hi" Worship said he could not accept the statement made defendant's counsel in face of the letter defendant had written, but would grant an adjournment till next Court day to enable defendant to a|pear. <
