FAT STOCK SALES. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., report— At Westfiekl yards on Wednesday, fat cattle eame forward. in larger •numbers than usual, and were mostly of excellent quality. Competition Wbb good throughout, and last week's price were well maintained, best oxen selling to 32a 6d, othera 29s to 31s, cows and heifers 25s to 28s, steers £7 10s to £l*l 12s Gd.cows and heifers £3 IDs to £ll 2s Gd. A draft of 40 steera from Marokopa averaged £l2 l-ss. Veal calves were also penned in extra large numbers, and prices were easier than last week. Heavy vealers £3 3s to £4 4s, others £2 5s to £3, lighter 30s to £2 2s, smaller 20s to 30s,others and fresh dropped 3s to 18s. Sheep were penned in larger numbers than usual, and sold at fully last week's rates. Best wethers 28s to 31b 9d, others 24a to 27s 9d, heavy ewes, best quality 24s to 26s 6d, others 19s 3d to 23s 9d, hoggets, in full supply, 16s to 18s 9d, others 13s 6d to 15s 9d. Pigs came forward in less numbers than usual, and sold at: Baconers £2 18s to £3 Is, large porkers £2 2s to £2 16s, porkers 28s to 375, slipß 15s to 255. Messra Abraham and Williams, Ltd., report on their Johnsonville sale as follows:—A good yarding of prime bullocks and Bbeep came forward also a line of station calvea. All lots were in good demand, and sold well at last sale prices. Prime heavy bullocks £l2 to £l2 ss, lighter £ll 12a 6d to £ll 15s. light £ll, prime heavy vealers £2 16s to £3 3s, lighter £2 6s to £2 11a, prime wethers 23s 5d to 245, light 19 3 6d to 20s, prime heavy ewes 23s 6d, prime ewes 21s 6d, lighter 19s 6d, prime lambs 15a.
