Notice has been given of the following mutions for the annual meeting of the Otago Provincial Council of the Farmers' Unioosi: —That the Government be asked to take a referendum aa to those in favour of military training; that compulsory service in territorials be restricted to youths residing within two miles of a borough and that rifle clubs be encouraged in rural districts. \ '
