ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING.

The annual general meeting of the King Country Central A. anrl P. Association was held in the Municipal Hall, Te Kuiti, on Wednesday evening. There was a good attendance and the president, Mr R. M. Somerville, occupied the chair. Before proceeding with the business a vote of sympathy with the relatives of the late Mr H. Matthew was passed by the meeting.

The annual report and balancesheet were read and adopted. The election of officers f or the ensuing year was then proceeded with, the following being elected: President, Mr C. Stevens; vice-presi-dent, Mr N. C. Matthew; treasurer, Mr A. Julian; general committee—Te Kuiti members, Messrs Boddie, Gra ham, Gadsby, Snadden, Mackay, Cochrane, Moatyn Jone?, F. B. Hardy, M. 3. Jones, Gameron, Brittain, Somerville, Berry, Walker, Kelso, B. Board, Hangatiki, R. T. Bailey; Paemako; R. H. McKenzie, Aria; J. C. Rolleston. Rangitoto; C. Sole, Mahoenui; H. R. Macdonald, Waimiha; D. Ross, Mangaotaki; A. P. Hercua, Paketutu; A. Price, P. D. Hargreaves, E. Pettit, Otorohnnga; G. Bevege, Pio Pio; P. Naisb, Mairoa; H. Gould, Arapae; R. Petch, Ngapaenga; C. J. Ryan, Tnumarunui; N. Lethbridge, Puni; H. Voyce, Waitangurii; and T. Kawe. It was resolved that country representatives be authorised to receive entries for the show.

A general discussion ensued, on the question of a two day show as compared with the one daj,a great amount of interest being evinced in the subject. After the matter bad been debated at length it was decided by a considerable majority to adhere to the two days.

The following recommendations were made to the committee: —That milk cows and pigs be yarded and judged only on the second day of theshuw; that sub-committees ,be appointed to revise the schedule; that steps be taken to improve the accommodation for stock.

Finance. —Mr Somerville's offer to sell a beast for the benefit of the ahow was accepted with thanks. —A committee consisting of Messrs Stevens, Graham, Somerville, Snadden and Broadfoot was appointed to go into tha question of raising funds for the Association.

The following executive committee was appointed:—Messrs Gad3by, Somerville, Shannon, Hardy, Graham, Brittain, Berry and Snadden. A hearty votd of thanks was passed to the retiring president, Mr R. M Somerville, for his efforts on behalf of the Association, and the same honour was accorded the secretary, Mr I*. C. Harton.
