The star drama for to-night an.l Monday ia a majestic drama entitled "Oath o£ O'Tsuru San." O'Tsuru San Nuaki. the daughter of General Nuaki, a distinguished Japanese army officer, has been trained to consider her country's interest above everything. Ned Winthrop, a young American, who has invented a new torpedo, ia entertained in Japan by General Nuaki, who wishes him to sell hi 3 in vention to Japan. Winthrop refuses to sell to any government but his own, but the patriotic Japanese, eeein« that monev will not tempt Winthrop. notices that hia daughter has attracted him, and resolves to secure the plans of the torpedo through her agency. She agreeß to marry Winthrop for the sake of her country and leaves with him for America, where she ia kindly greeted by his mother, and her love for her husband grows Btrongsr every day. Her oath becomes distasteful to her. but after a great struggle, she resolves to aid her country and tricks her husband, and turns over the document to the agent. Winthrop discovers her deception and cursea her. She realises then that her love for the husband is greater than for her own country. She pursues the Japanese agent, regains the plana after a terrible struggle, and ia rescued by Ned, who th«r realises for the first time his wife I temptation and the lo"e for him.whic! wan stronger than the oath of O'Tsun San.
