NEW ZEALAND'S NAVY.
&. AN ADVISER APPOINTED. CAPTAIN HALL THOMPSON. By Telegraph..—Press Association.—CopyrisM London, Thursday. The announcement was made yesterday that Captain P. Hall Thompson had been appointed naval adviser to the New Zealand Government. He will take command of H.M.?. Philomel when the cruiser is recommissioned in July. Wellington, Thursday. The senior officer of the N.Z. division etattes that the Admiralty have selected Captain Herbert J. T. Marshall to succeed Commander H. C. Carr in coammni of H.M.s. Psyche and as senior naval officer of Imperial Bhips in Australian waters. Captain Marshall arrives in Wellington en the 21st inst. Commander Carr leaves for England on the 24th.
