LABOUR'S PARLIAMENT.
CABINET SYSTEM CONDEMNED,
BOND SLAVES OF LIBERALS

The Independent Labour Conference at Bradford passed a resolution by 283 votes against 78, condemning the Cabinet system and favouring independent action in Parliament. Mr F. W. Jowett. Labour M.P. for West Bradford, who was elected chairman, said that the Labour M.P.'s, who had always been loyal to Home Kule, had been blackmailed, and they had constantly been compelledt to vote against their consciences, sometimes for the deliberate purpose of keeping the .Government in office. He refused to be a bond slave any longer. A motion was also passed protesting against increased armaments, and arguing that an international arbitration board cuuld settle all disputes between nations. The meeting also condemned the attempts to subvert the army for political purposes.
